This is who introduced me to the ketogenic diet combined with intermittent fasting. I eat in a 6 hour window and fast 18 hours a day. It has worked miracles in my body with no negative side effects. Ask your doctor first. Doctors disagree on this plan, but I recommend at least listening to some videos on YouTube. Eric Berg offers some costly supplements which I used for the first few months. I am not a distributor of them. Just search "Eric Berg" on YouTube.

On August 12th 2019 something motivated me to begin looking at a new lifestyle for my body. It probably was the violent sugar to insulin swings that had me scared to near death! I would carry bottles of honey, candy and granola bars with me everywhere I'd go. Suddenly, a glucose crash would hit me and I would get week, begin to shake badly and fear losing consciousness.
Immediately I would eat sweets and wait 30 minutes to return to normal, but never knowing how long it would last.
in 2018 I had hit 222 pounds! I had managed to starve myself down to 216 by that day in August 2019.
In comes the Keto Diet. I hate to call it a diet because I ate so much food I was always over full after eating. I must say working in the intermittent fasting gradually was really strange but exciting too! I never could have gone 2 hours without sweets to control my crashes before, but without sugars and carbs in my diet, the crashes never came again!!!!
Lastly, but just as liberating, is the fact that I no longer (ever) have heartburn since beginning this dietary change. I would suffer all day, everyday with high levels of heartburn previously. That was while taking many OTC preventive products too.
I feel like a new person today! At a healthy weight and set free from the fear of serious health problems, I am truly stress free about my body!
I cannot express enough the opposition you will get from many people when it comes to the Keto diet. Fortunately, many doctors and professionals are becoming pro Keto as time passes. It can get a little confusing. I notice an element of resistance from vegans who would object to the use of any animal products, and for more than just health reasons.
My wife's cardiologist is vegan and is demanding she virtually eliminate animal fats from her diet. She has had a long standing calcification issue. Others would tell her she needs to do something different and to avoid any medications her doctor may prescribe due to side effects.
The fact is, they are doing the best they can, but sometimes, for us, common sense seems to rule. My wife has created a hybrid Keto/Mediterranean diet she feels good about.
